Assume we are in a Stand Your Ground Law state.. Recently, a Republican politician viciously attacked a reporter for no reason, other than that the reporter asked him a question. Would the reporter have been justified in feeling 'threatened' by such an assault, and then be fully justified in pulling out a gun and shooting that politician to death?
The Stand Your Ground law now seems to be making it legal to shoot anyone who you feel threatens you in any way, even if they have no weapon on them. If you have a gun, a rock or even a metal bat, it seems to be the case that you can now murder someone legally, and the police cannot even take you in for questioning. Don't believe it?

Here is an actual case..... a mentally disabled person was killed by a guy with a gun who was sitting in a car at a fast food outlet with his wife next to him. The mentally disabled person had no weapon, no stick, no knife, no nothing. There was no mark on the guy with a gun, and no damage to his car. He could have rolled up his window or driven away, if he really felt that this mental ill guy was a nuisance. Instead, he pulled out his gun and killed him.

The NRA loves this law. They are pushing for passage of this law in all US states. They love people living in fear and owning a gun. This law makes it ok to have itchy trigger fingers and own lots of guns, and then be potentially even be 'allowed to' use those guns on people you disagree with. Even if you are a sociopath, mentally ill or a psychopath, you can now go out and take care of business, based on the above case. Hunting humans is now legal. IT IS EASIER TO BUY A GUN IN THE US THAN ANY OTHER CIVILIZED COUNTRY ON PLANET EARTH, AND THE DEATH RATE FROM GUNS REFLECTS THAT
It is easy to buy a gun in the US, easier than any other civilized country. Gun owners (even crazy ones, or terrorists) are allowed to buy guns. Even bat crazy loons are now ready and legally able to kill anyone who even looks at them cross eyed, and be totally justified in killing them for doing little or nothing. The police cannot take anyone in for questioning if the person who had the gun and killed someone say; "I felt threatened". Basically, this law is permission to kill anyone, anywhere, anytime, for no reason at all, even if the other person has no gun or weapon at all.
After all, the only person who can say what happened is the guy with the gun. Witness accounts don't matter, because it is only about what is in the head of the person with the gun that matters, according to this law. If the gun owners head says; "this person looks threatening, or looks like they are going to hit me, get out the gun and shoot them."
FEELING 'THREATENED' IS NOW ENOUGH REASON TO MURDER SOMEONE IN COLD BLOOD, EVEN IF THEY HAD NO WEAPONS AT ALL; WHO SHOULD AMERICANS BE MORE AFRAID OF? TERRORISTS, OR GUN OWNERS?
No one can accuse the gun owner of murder, because the gun owner is the only person with a gun, and he or she felt threatened. It no longer matters that the other person had no gun, no weapon of any kind, all that matters is that a person with a gun felt fear, so that is justification in using the gun to commit legalized murder.
What if someone does that around the President, or Senators, or CEO's of corporations? Hey, that politician made me feel 'threatened', so I was fully justified in shooting them. Many people feel very passionately that their life is being threatened by the 1 percent (even if that is not the case), and this law now seems to make it legal to go shoot them, right? (sarcasm)

This is worse than the Wild West Days, when anyone could shoot anyone else. Back then, as long as you both had guns and drew them, it was all legal. But even back then, the criteria was that BOTH people had to have guns. Now, the NRA has gotten rid of even this Wild West definition of a 'fair fight'. Now a fair fight consists of a person with a gun, and anyone else, who that gun owner has a beef with.
If you don't like someone because they are different in politics, religion, or color of skin, or the loud music they play, or for any other reason, that is enough reason now to kill them, as long as you own a gun and are willing to use the 'Stand Your Ground' law. Despite the teen being unarmed, and running away from Zimmerman, and despite Zimmerman chasing him down and shooting him, Zimmerman was innocent of any crime, due to the 'Stand Your Ground' law.

1. They have to establish and maintain a knowledge and competence for gun safety.
2. You have to register every gun at the point of sale.
3 Your license as a gun operator is placed on your driver's license and in a national database.
4. You have to carry liability insurance.
5. Public places should be gun free.
6. All Unregistered guns should be confiscated and destroyed.
7. All military style rifles need to be banned outright, along with military gear such as bullet proof vests, 200 round clips, etc.
8. A tax should be established of 100 percent of the price of any gun. That tax collected would go into a national fund, which then pays out to anyone harmed or killed by a gun, in order to compensate them for loss of income, etc.

Imagine two chocolate cakes, stacked one on top of the other. The chocolate layer cake on the bottom is called FEAR/HATRED/DELUSION, and tastes really bad, plus it feels really bad.
The chocolate layer cake on top of it is called LOVE/LIGHT, and it tastes really good, plus it FEELS really good. Which cake do you prefer to look at, feel and enjoy eating/experiencing?
Your life and choices based on FREE WILL determine each moment what kind of cake you will either enjoy or suffer from. One cake is poison, and will slowly kill you and darken your inner light.
The chocolate cake on top tastes so very good, and it feels so very good too. Heaven or Hell? Which do you prefer?
Those who live by eating, creating, and making FEAR/HATRED cakes end up having an awful taste and feeling inside as they slowly poison themselves to death on an infinite level.
Due to the darkness of fear, hatred and anger, those stuck in fear/hatred/greed end up buying guns, promoting guns, letting kids handle/shoot guns, which then end up killing other kids. More guns means more deaths, killings and more violence, period.
To own a gun one must be focused and thinking about FEAR/HATRED, which then leads to DELUSION, because chronic fear and hatred leads to double think, and/or cognitive dissonance.
Chronic fear and hatred lead to the dark side, and it ends up swallowing people people whole as their souls are sucked into the darkness of FEAR/HATRED/DELUSION/GREED abyss. Don't get lost in the delusion of a closed heart, and the darkness that results.
Sacrifice anything you have to keep love and light alive via an open heart and an open mind. Remember also that love is not political. True love has no sense of 'sides', right/wrong, or any other duality/separation. True unconditional love does not give a whit about money, power, influence, status, education or possessions. In true love, all are one. Love is all there is, in reality. Everything else fades away like a nightmare that one wakes up from, just dark dreams that once seemed like reality, but now are gone and forgotten completely.
One small light can shine in a huge dark cave and light it all up.
Let your light of inner open hearted blazing love shine and light up the dark places. Light is what it takes, as the veils on the fear layer cake are slowly peeled away to reveal what is underneath all of this illusion of fear. Love and light will reveal the truth.
